Three new functions for user and supplier codes:
Persons copying e-mails
On each user account, and especially on those of suppliers, you can now indicate who should be copied on e-mails sent by Smalltox. This is particularly useful for managing hierarchies or assistants:
- A “junior” salesperson may be monitored more closely by his or her manager, who may not want to be copied on quotations sent by his or her “senior” salespeople;
- A broker may want his assistant to receive copies of the commercial e-mails he sends to his customers for follow-up, reminders or filing.
Business, management and accounting e-mail addresses
There are now 3 types of e-mail linked to a user account:
- Commercial e-mail: The person who sends and receives commercial e-mails (quotes, proposals, contracts);
- Management e-mail (optional): This is the e-mail address used to receive management information (amendments, outstanding payments, due notices, etc.);
- Accounting e-mail (optional): The one who receives the slips.
And, of course, in each of these categories you can indicate several e-mails, all of which will receive a copy. If no management or accounting e-mail is indicated, the broker’s (commercial) e-mail will receive the entire message, for simplicity’s sake.
Different origins and response addresses
When we receive an e-mail, it indicates an origin (e.g. the “generic” address of a commercial site). The e-mail’s metadata may contain a different reply-to address. So when you press the “Reply” button, the e-mail will be sent by default to this reply address. Smalltox uses this feature for quotations and projects sent by the “sales site” (origin). When the customer presses “Reply”, he’s actually writing to his contact (reply address).
